About

Hi! Welcome to my website. Thank you for being here!

I am currently a third year undergraduate student originally from Pune, Maharashtra, pursuing a Physics Major and a Philosophy Minor at Ashoka University, Delhi-NCR, India. I am also an Indian Classical Musician, and have been learning and performing on the Tabla for 12+ years. Find more about my current interests in physics, philosophy, and music here.

I often justify my seemingly disconnected areas of interest by thinking about the myriad of intertwining ways they feed into and out of each other. As philosophical (at best) and preposterous (at worst) it may sound, studying physics gives us an understanding of the rules governing the reality around us; why and how things work the way they do. (It also helps in making explanations of why ice-cream melts faster in the summer sound way cooler (get it!?)). Studying philosophy then encourages me to question the confidence of this 'understanding' that physics claims to give, especially when I study things like consciousness, the nature of time, and our inability to know the truth of anything with absolute certainty due to the very nature of truth and causality (more on this here). And when all these intense ideas leave me stranded in the vast field of abstract thought, my music comes to me as a lifeboat, guiding me towards a stable shore for a temporary rest, making me do something more worldly and yet so otherworldly.

As for some lighter stuff, I read books and consume content on science fiction, stoicism, basic personal finance, productivity frameworks and just designing and implementing systems to build a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life. I hope you spend some time having a sneak-peek into my life through this website. If you have a proposal or find something interesting here, I'm open to collaborating on relevant projects in science, philosophy, music or any combinations of these. Do reach out to me!
